Foundation Village Neighborhood Family Center
Neighborhood Family Centers are grassroots organizations that utilize a strength based approach to addressing youth and family issues. The approach builds on the inherent strengths of individuals, families and neighborhoods. They are dedicated to the belief that families should have the resources, supports and skills necessary to raise their children in a healthy and safe neighborhood that promotes the development of their maximum potential. These centers are often staffed by people who either live in the neighborhood or who are local experts about their area surrounding the centers. While families can go to the centers for referrals to community resources to meet basic needs, the centers are also place where neighborhood residents can participate in programs, activities and events to help them grow and flourish.
