Pinellas County Community Development, First Time Homebuyer Program
Periodically provides a low interest mortgage program for first-time low, moderate and middle income home buyers. Eligibility is based on good credit history, income guidelines, and other credit and loan underwriting. Generally offers low down payment and lower than conventional interest rates. Loans are also available to help low and moderate income families with down payments and closing costs. Low interest loans and assistance programs - subject to the availability of funds - are available to qualified borrowers in Pasco, Pinellas, and Polk Counties in conjunction with the Authority's mortgage bond program. 3 programs to choose from for home ownership. We envision Pinellas County as a place where all residents have the opportunity to live in decent neighborhoods with access to quality affordable housing, pleasing streetscapes and open green spaces, sound infrastructure, ample economic opportunities, convenient public facilities and access to all the services vital to maintaining a safe and sustainable community.

Eligibility: To participate in an Housing Finance Authority(HFA) program, you must be a first-time homebuyer and plan to reside in the home you purchase. You cannot have owned a home in last three years either jointly or individually, including mobile homes claimed as real property, to be considered a first-time buyer. Income and purchase price limits apply also.
