Homeless Emergency Project (HEP) Permanent Housing for Families with Disabilities
Provides affordable, permanent housing in a safe supportive group living environment for families who have struggled to live independently. Families living with physical disabilities can obtain the support, counseling, and are they need to live productive fulfilling lives. Participants are required to enroll with Partners in Self Sufficiency. Participants can stay in the program from 1 - 5 years. Leases are renewed annually. Clients must be referred from another agency/program and apply through HEP and the Clearwater Housing Authority.
Hours: 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday
Fees: Rental fee is 30% of income (call for more information)
Intake/Application Process: Families can call for an appointment, walk-in or be referred by an agency
Eligibility: Clients must have documentation of disability and also meet HUD guidelines for Section 8 housing. *No Drugs or Alcohol; Clean and Sober; No Felonies within last 5 years; No Probation at all; be interested in counseling and self-improvement, and able to follow rules.
