Homeless Emergency Project (HEP) Homeless Outreach, Housing
The Homeless Outreach Housing program works with local police and mental health case workers who are involved with the Pinellas County homeless outreach teams. Housing placement is usually through referral by these teams, yet walk-ins are also served if beds are available.
Hours: Staff available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Fees: None
Intake/Application Process: Referrals are made through the Pinellas County Outreach teams. Walk-ins are also served if bed space is available. (If homeless individual is outside a manageable distance from the housing location they need to call their local police department)
Eligibility: Single adults 18 years of age and older. Should be sober, no weapons, no drugs, and no sex offenders. Police officers do run background checks before admittance
