Pinellas County Housing Authority, French Villas
Provides low rent housing for elderly and very low to low income families. Tenants are selected based on Federal Preference, income eligibility and size of the unit needed, and generally pay no more than 30% of their adjusted income (gross income less allowable deductions) for rent. Tenants must pay advance security and utility payments. Families must consist of two or more persons related by blood, marriage or adoption, including foster children. Also eligible are single persons 62 years of age or older, or persons with disabilities. Clients must call the Housing Authority to apply for residence at French Villas.
Volunteer Opportunities: Volunteer Instructor (teach basic Word, Excel, computer skills).
Hours: 7:15 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday - Friday
Fees: Generally 30% of their adjusted income
