Community Law Program, Transitioning Dependent Youth Project
Transitioning Dependent Youth Project will help dependent children with legal issues such as special education and other educational services, access to medical care and mental health services, access to disability and other public financial benefits, housing issues, as well as other legal issues these youth may encounter as they transition into adulthood.” These services are above and beyond the assistance that is provided to them by their Caseworkers and Guardians ad Litem.

Eligibility: Free legal assistance to children in foster care or in the dependency court system aged 13-19. To qualify for free legal assistance through CLP, an individual must reside in Pinellas County or be referred by another legal aid organization and must generally have a combined household income of at or below 125% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
