*For EMERGENCY Situations ONLY* Assists travelers who arrived in Pinellas County and who have become stranded. Assistance is a blend of helping the client sort through their available options, determining what resources the client may have at his/her disposal, and then providing assistance as necessary for food, phone calls for emergency housing, and/or transportation. It involves utilizing creative and cost effective solutions that are consistent with the best interests of the clients.
Consumers at risk receive highest priority: single parents with young children, elderly, disabled and victims of spouse abuse who need to flee from offender. Client or agency must come to Daystar in person during open hours to complete application and be interviewed. Applicants must be sober. Transportation assistance will be considered when the applicant has a valid plan that can be verified.
Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., Monday – Friday
